..well, I survived without greater damage. Who would have thought. Meeting some of the old ‘friends’ isn’t too easy sometimes. But as one once said: Alcohol is not the best solution, but the only one.

epiacenter.com published an Interview with VIA on their mini-ITX solutions and also some words on the upcoming and long awaited nano-ITX boards. Their statements on Open Source and Linux-Support are also very interesting. Funny how the own perception can differ from others.

Half-Life² and Linux, feat. Cedega 4.2

I’m not much of gamer, but sometimes I just can’t resist, even more because Half-Life has been one of the best games I’ve ever played. Anyhow, for I don’t have a wintendo-system available, I had to wait until Cedega 4.2 was released, which was yesterday, Dec 7th. Debian GNU/Linux on an EPIA MII System

I have the most stuff installed now, but especially the graphics drm/dri/mesa/unichrome/xvmc/xmmc stuff was pretty confusing in the beginning. I guess I got most of it straight and compiled a little list of which patches/apps i used. Read the rest of this entry »
